Recycling Industries of Finland
The Recycling Industries of Finland (Kierrätysteollisuus ry) is a Finnish industry association representing the interests of companies in the recycling industry and circular economy.
We promote a market-based circular economy that provides a competitive advantage for Finnish industry and business. We influence legislation and decision-making as well as raise important circular economy issues in the social debate.
Our growing community of members offers practical solutions for material recycling and boosting a green transition in industry.
Our Network
We influence the operating environment of the recycling industry and realization of circular economy in Finland and Europe through different organisations and networks. We are a member of the Finnish Chemical Industry Association (Kemianteollisuus ry) and the Confederation of Finnish Industries (Elinkeinoelämän keskusliitto ry).
The Recycling Industries of Finland works in conjunction with the Finnish Demolition Association (FDA) (Suomen Purkuliikkeiden liitto FDA ry), an association of demolition companies operating in Finland.

We are also a member of Ygoforum. Ygoforum is a broad-based and impartial forum for cooperation on the use of waste and by-product materials in civil engineering. In addition, we are part of the Alliance of Finnish Raw Materials Recycling (Suomen Uusioraaka-aineliitto ry) and the Waste Management Association (Jätehuoltoyhdistys ry).
International Organisations
Internationally, we work primarily through our European umbrella organisations.

The European Waste Management Associate FEAD is made up of national environmental business associations from 20 European countries and represents 3 000 private waste management companies in Europe. FEAD member companies employ more than 320 000 people and have a combined turnover of €75 billion.
Through FEAD, we have direct channels of influence on the preparation of legislation in the EU Commission and the European Parliament. We are a member of the FEAD Board and our experts participate in the work of FEAD committees and working groups.

The European Recycling Industries' Confederation EuRIC has 35 members from 23 EU and EFTA countries. The members are national, EU, as well as industry associations, employing more than 300 000 people. Their combined turnover is over €95 billion. EuRIC is organised around five materials: plastics, paper, iron, other metals and textiles.
We are a member of EuRIC's legislative working group and a direct member of The European Plastics Recycling Branch (EPRB) and The European Recovered Paper Branch (ERPA).

The European Demolition Association EDA represents the demolition industry in 11 countries. It brings together national demolition associations, demolition companies and demolition contractors from all over Europe. We are active in the EDA through the Finnish Demolition Association (FDA).
